Strategic Prayer: SOWERS

We believe an enemy exists who employs strategic methods to destroy God's mission. But we know the end of the story and who wins!

We will use strategic prayer with the Holy Spirit to stand firm against these attacks and usher in the Spirit of God, specifically concerning IFCMC, EFCP, and the greater Worldwide Church Multiplication Movement.

We Pray for the Sowers.

Last month, we prayed for the soil of those who do not know Jesus yet. This month, we pray that God will call and equip sowers to plant seeds in the fields for harvest.

Romans 10:14-15 - How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?  And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”

As we approach the International Friends Church Multiplication Conference, let's pray for the sowers.

We Pray for the Workers.

Lord of the harvest, we pray that You send dedicated workers into Your fields, equipping them with strength, wisdom, and compassion to gather the plentiful harvest. May your Spirit inspire and empower us to spread Your love and truth to all corners of the world.

Matthew 9:36-39 - Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

We Pray for the Disciple-Makers.

God, we ask that You empower Your disciple-makers with boldness and courage to spread Your Word to all nations, teaching them to do the same in Your holy name. Stretch out Your hand to perform signs and wonders through them, assuring them of Your constant presence and guidance.

Matthew 28:19-20 - Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Acts 4:29-31 - Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness. Stretch out your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.” After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.

Pray for Our Witness.

Heavenly Father, empower us with Your Holy Spirit to be bold witnesses for Christ, reaching out to all corners of the earth with Your love and truth. Give us the wisdom and humility to become all things to all people so that by all possible means, we may share the gospel, bridging the lost to know God’s love.

Acts 1:8 - But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

1 Corinthians 9:19-23 - Though I am free and belong to no one, I have made myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible. To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law. To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God’s law but am under Christ’s law), so as to win those not having the law. To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some. I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings.

Today’s Prayer

Father God, we lift up the planters who are sowing seeds of faith in new communities, asking for Your guidance and strength as they undertake this mission. Bless the sending churches with the resources and support needed to empower these church planters. Inspire the presenters at the conference to share Your wisdom with clarity and passion. We pray for the people planning the conference that You grant them discernment and unity as they prepare an event that glorifies You and equips Your servants. May Your Spirit move mightily through all involved, bringing forth a bountiful harvest for Your kingdom.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.
