Strategic Prayer: SUPPORT

We believe an enemy exists who employs strategic methods to destroy God's mission. But we know the end of the story and who wins!

We will use strategic prayer with the Holy Spirit to stand firm against these attacks and usher in the Spirit of God, specifically concerning IFCMC, EFCP, and the greater Worldwide Church Multiplication Movement.

We Pray for Support.

Last month, we prayed for the sowers, those who are called to go to the lost and plant new churches. This month, we pray that God will supply the spiritual, mental, emotional, physical, and financial needs for those who serve.

2 Peter 1:3 - His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.

As we approach the International Friends Church Multiplication Conference, let's pray for support.

We Pray for Mental and Spiritual Needs to be Met.

There is a war going on and it not only takes physical provision, but mental and spiritual support too.

Philippians 4:19 - And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

2 Corinthians 12:9 - But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

We Pray for Mentors & Prayer Warriors.

Psalm 23:1 - The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.

Matthew 21:22 - If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.

Romans 8:32 - He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

We Pray for Physical and Financial Provision.

Planting churches involves sacrifice for the planter, sending church, and others. But we know that our God will supply all our needs.

Matthew 6:31-32 - So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.

Matthew 7:11 - If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!

2 Corinthians 9:10-11 - Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.

We Pray for Unity Among the Supporters.

John 13:34-35 - “I give you a new command: Love one another. Just as I have loved you, you are also to love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

Hebrews 12:1-2 - “Therefore, since we also have such a large cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us lay aside every hindrance and the sin that so easily ensnares us. Let us run with endurance the race that lies before us, keeping our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. For the joy that lay before him, he endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Today’s Prayer

Father God, we lift up the supports that you send to those called to the ripe harvest field. We ask you to provide financial resources to the church planters. We ask you to bring physical, mental, and spiritual wellness, that you would meet their needs. We know there’s a war going on, where the powers and principalities of darkness try to overtake the Light. But we ask you God to bring mentors to guide in the darkness and prayer warriors to intercede for the mission fields yet to be planted. And we ask you to bring unity among all the supporters, that their would be collaboration and their eyes would be fixed on you and your mission.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.
